Randstad wins Deshima Business Award

Randstad received “Deshima Business Award” for the successful business development in the Japanese market.

On 19th of November, the award plate was presented to Marcel Wiggers (Managing Director Asia, Randstad) by the Chairman of Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers VNO-NCW) Mr. Bernard E.M. Wientjes.

The award were established in 2000 by the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Japan with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands to recognize Dutch companies to promote greater awareness of opportunities and investment in Japan by companies and institutions in the Netherlands. The winners were selected by a joint Japanese and Netherlands jury.

Japan and the Netherlands has over 400 years of commercial trade relationship, out of which from 1636 to 1853, Deshima was the only peninsula in Japan that allowed European (Dutch only), therefore Deshima symbolizes the trade relationship between two countries.

This year, the large company segment award was given to Randstad, also Agenia received the small/mid-size enterprise segment.
