Overall Job Purpose:

Develop and execute communication and advocacy programs for products, therapeutic area branding, patient advocacy, risk management, etc. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (brand team, medical team, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, etc.) and external entities (patient groups, journalists, medical professionals) to enhance awareness of on-market and pipeline products, expedite new product launches, raise disease awareness, and safeguard/enhance corporate and product brand.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and execute product-related external/internal communication plans/campaigns aligned with brand strategies, identifying and addressing communication opportunities and threats in the external environment.
- Develop PR materials (e.g., press releases, standby statements, fact books, Facebook content).
- Issue press releases (including translation of global releases).
- Manage media inquiries.
- Implement events (e.g., press seminars, public seminars, CSR activities).
- Communicate and collaborate with alliance partners as needed.
- Handle crisis communication.

• Identify and prioritize patient advocacy groups for each therapeutic area, establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with selected groups as appropriate.

Requirements:
• 5+ years in communications or PR (preferably pharmaceuticals).
• Self-sufficient with strong communication and presentation skills.
• PR strategy aligned with Brand Strategy.
• Exceptional critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
• Growth mindset.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
