1. In collaboration with line managers, build a positive employee environment that emphasizes culture, core values, and individual and leadership expectations.
2. Act as a advisor, coach, and counsel to line managers and employees.
3. Partner with line managers and your manager to identify, develop and deliver effective talent and organizational development strategies to support the business.
4. Work closely with line managers and provide them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities and change processes
5. Work with global and regional HR centers of expertise to provide guidance and support in establishing and/or adopting and deploying globally aligned and locally relevant employment contracts, compensation and benefits, and talent management practices.
6. Collaborate with global and regional talent management to contextualize and implement training programs to meet business strategies.
7. Execute the administration of and provide guidance on HR & talent programs: merit, performance review, performance improvement, talent planning, talent development, succession planning, etc.
8. Provide ongoing coaching and development feedback to line managers and individual contributors.
9. Ensure HR compliance with local labor laws. Promote an effective employee and labor relations environment and advise leaders with subject matter expertise.
10. Develop and execute business enabling solutions by collecting and analyzing information, dashboards, assess trends, identify issues, themes and recommending courses of action, and seeing through delivery and results.
11. Participate and lead various HR projects in recruiting, performance management, programs and policies development and implementation, etc.
12. Participates and helps lead/implement HR operations and transformation plans – understands HR lifecycle end to end processes, is systems and applications savvy and can support project, program, and systems implementation along with leveraging solid change management principles and planning for organizational adoption of change.


Skill/Job Requirements:
• 7-10 years of Human Resources experience and career progression in an international, fast growing and matrixed environment; healthcare or technology company preferred; Masters / MBA degree preferred.
• Depth in employee and labor relations, country law/practice expertise; and performance management and improvement consulting experience.
• Exposure to HR Operations, Systems and Payroll services/management desireable.
• Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, or government law.
• Ability to remain focused with strong attention to detail, and deliver exceptional quality work.
• Ability to balance local requirements with functional and/or corporate objectives.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills; skilled with analyzing applicable unit and employee related data to make sound recommendations/decisions.
• Exceptional communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust, credibility, and strong, productive relationships.
• Excellent organizational and project/program management skills.
• Proven ability to work positively, collaboratively, and professionally within a team and across a and highly matrixed global organization.
• Ability to objectively coach employees and line manages through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
• High integrity and trust and the ability to manage complex and sensitive information confidentially and effectively.
• High change agility, openness to new ideas, savvy communication ability.
• Organizational development and change management project experience desireable.
• Fluent in English and Japanese.
