Randstad is supporting a key American insurance company in Japan to hire several bilingual Business System Analysts to join their data team.

This is an automatic-renewal contract position with a long term forecast and competitive remuneration. It is a hybrid position with up to 4 days work-from-home, and the working environment is with supportive, international colleagues with a good work-life balance.

About the Role
You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical capabilities. You will work closely with users and the project team to gather requirements, design robust data solutions, and guide the implementation process with third party vendors or other internal service provider

Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with users and project team on requirements and expectations
● Analyze business requirements, create proper data solutions that meets functional and
non-functional requirements
● Analyze existing system to find the original source data based on business requirements
● Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows
● Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities,
performance requirements and interfaces
● Discover metadata of the source database, including value patterns and distributions, key
candidates, foreign-key candidates, and functional dependencies
● Design logical and physical data models
● Create design documents including FRD
● Prepare test cases, test data, and capture test evidence.

経験・スキル

Experience:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent experience is ideal
● 5-10 years of relevant experience in system development or business system analyst role

Skills:
● Strong data/system analytics skills using various coding language
● Good knowledge of Power BI, SQL / Data Analytics and Business Intelligence/Process Improvement
● Data structures and data management knowledge
● Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Language:
● Japanese: Fluent, N2/N1
● English: Intermediate (preferred)

Preferable:
● Understanding of REST API, micro-services, ETL, and Salesforce is preferred
● Hand-on experience with Cloud services
● Understanding of streaming data processing and change data capture is preferred
● Exposure to new platforms and adapt to a continuous evolving ecosystem of multiple moving
components involving Hive, HBase, Zeppelin, Spark, Livy, Solr
