Lead the development and execution of impactful Public and Government Affairs strategies for a leading pharmaceutical company in Japan.

■Role & Responsibilities
You will be the driving force behind the development and implementation of Public and Government Affairs (PGA) strategies in Japan. You will build and nurture key relationships with external stakeholders, influencing policy and ensuring patient access to critical treatments. You’ll collaborate extensively with internal product teams, ensuring alignment of PGA strategies with product development and lifecycle management. You will actively monitor the regulatory landscape and industry trends, identifying both risks and opportunities to inform long-term business planning. This is a highly visible and impactful role that will directly contribute to the success of the company in Japan.

■Main tasks include
・Develop and implement PGA strategies aligned with business objectives.
・Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
・Analyze health policy changes and assess their impact on business strategies.
・Identify and mitigate barriers to patient access to key treatments.
・Lead strategic engagement activities with government and industry groups.
・Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PGA insights into product development and lifecycle management.

経験・スキル

■Requirements
・Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or a related field within the pharmaceutical industry in Japan.
・Proven track record of successfully influencing policy and building relationships with key stakeholders.
・Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
・Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Japanese and English.
・Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
・Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
・Deep understanding of the Japanese healthcare system and regulatory landscape.
・Experience in risk assessment and mitigation in a regulated environment.
・Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
