Import and Logistics Specialist at Global Beverage Company

Import and Logistics specialist plays an important role in supporting Supply Chain in Japan, is responsible for managing the importation and transportation of goods and materials for Japan, and ensuring that products are delivered to the intended destinations in a timely and cost-effective manner while complying with import regulations. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, such as Corporation, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agency, 3PL warehouse house and internal teams, to facilitate smooth import and logistics operations.

Import and Customs clearance coordination
Interaction with customs brokers regarding customs clearance including control and review of customs clearance activities.
Responsible for preparation a set of import documents for customs clearance,
Monitor product import processes to improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness and inventory balance in warehouses
Assist the manager to monitor delivery performance by 3PL, resolve and coordinate deliveries issues with CS and 3PL
Identify areas for process improvement within import and logistics operations, propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
SAP reporting and data check for import operations.
Verify and process invoices from 3PL
Monitor and analyze customs brokers KPIs performance and apply actions for their improvement
Prepare reports on the number of ordered, imported, received products and goods in transit
Monthly and yearly book closing for import/logistics

Requirements:

2+ years experience in the supply chain, import operations and logistics
FMCG sector experience
Business English and fluent Japanese
SAP Experience
