The Network Architect provides technical leadership for the team of L3 and L2 engineers in the CTL ETT/BOA team. The Network Architect is a subject matter expert on the various network technology components upon which the Bank of America Electronic Trading environment is built.


The Network Architect interfaces with both the client (ETT), and CTL engineering teams, he leads complex ETT projects, effectively communicates the client business needs, and is able to architect/design solutions that aligns with those business needs. He is the highest escalation point for all CTL and third-party vendor engineering resources in support of the services being provided.
Other responsibilities include the following:
• Architecture, Design, Implementation and Maintenance of the BOA-ETT Network infrastructure, with the objective of creating value, and meeting technical requirements. Ensuring that the network is designed for scalability, flexibility, and ability to transition to future needs and trends.
• Ensure that the vendor (CTL) is in compliance with projects target schedules, milestones and budgets.
• Capacity planning for all Network resources - including network devices and circuits.
• Regular review of performance metrics and other key indicators, performance tuning, and day to day engineering support to ensure environment stability.
• Develop documented procedures, and run-books for L3 engineering and L2 NOC engineers to perform routine/repetitive task.
• Develop automation processes using programmatic scripts and codes to replace routine/repetitive tasks.
• Provide Technical leadership/mentoring to other team members as they progressed in mastering their professional skills, the company culture, and standard practices, thus ensuring that we continue to have a positive impact on BOA/ETT business.

経験・スキル

The Network Architect has a minimum of 15 years’ experience working as a Network Architect/Engineer in a Financial Trading environment. He has been involved in the Architecture, Design, Implementation, and Maintenance of Financial Trading Networks including Market Data and Ultra low-latency Trading networks.
