We are representing a global digital services ecosystem powering e-commerce, fintech, media, and digital entertainment for over a billion users worldwide. Their lifestyle and leisure division operates category-leading online platforms across digital lottery, sports betting, and AI-powered prediction services. Beyond delivering engaging user experiences, our client’s platforms directly support local communities by generating significant funding for municipal infrastructure, public facilities, and social welfare programs.

To support rapid scaling and uphold exceptional system stability across high-traffic platforms, we are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their expanding engineering team.

Role Overview:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical production platforms handling massive concurrent user traffic. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, implement modern GitOps and IaC workflows, and drive automation to minimize operational toil.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Reliability Management: Own platform availability, reliability, and performance through SLI/SLO definition and proactive error budget management.
2. CI/CD & Automation: Design, build, and maintain production deployment automation and automated CI/CD pipelines.
3. Incident Response & Postmortems: Lead production incident response, write blameless postmortems, and drive remediation action items to closure.
4. Observability & Monitoring: Develop and optimize metrics collection, alerting rules, dashboards, and distributed tracing systems.
5. Operational Efficiency: Eliminate operational toil through smart automation, leveraging modern AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code).
6. Infrastructure Collaboration: Partner with application engineering teams on system design, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews.
7.On-Call & Knowledge Sharing: Participate in an on-call rotation, continuously improve operational workflows, and contribute to internal runbooks and technical documentation.

Preferred / Desired Qualifications:
1. GitOps Experience: Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as Argo CD or Argo Workflows. 2. Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or relevant cloud certifications.
3. Service Mesh: Exposure to service mesh technology (e.g., Istio).
4. Platform Engineering: Experience building or using Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).

Required Qualifications:
1. SLO/SLI Management: Hands-on experience defining SLIs/SLOs and managing error budgets in high-concurrency production environments.
2. CI/CD Expertise: Strong track record of building and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
3. Incident Management: Proven ability to lead incident response efforts, facilitate blameless postmortems, and implement long-term fixes.
4. Kubernetes Mastery: Deep, practical knowledge of Kubernetes, including standard manifests, Helm Charts, and cluster-level troubleshooting.
5. Observability Tools: Hands-on experience with modern observability tech stacks (e.g., LGTM Stack, ELK Stack, Datadog, New Relic).
6. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with IaC frameworks such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
7. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent cross-functional communication skills and a strong commitment to team-oriented engineering.
