Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting

Direct full-cycle accounting functions, including:

Accounts payable and accounts receivable

General ledger maintenance

Journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations

Fixed asset tracking and depreciation

Cash flow administration and bank reconciliations

Execute monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end financial closings.

Generate management reporting packages and financial summaries.

Maintain compliance with applicable domestic accounting principles (J-GAAP) and internal controls.

Retail & Inventory Accounting

Administer inventory accounting cycles and stock control procedures.

Evaluate stock turnover, cost allocations, valuation models, and physical-to-book reconciliations.

Support commercial store locations with inventory variance analysis and tracking.

Investigate and reconcile inventory accounting discrepancies.

External Partner Coordination

Liaise with third-party service providers across tax, payroll, and statutory reporting.

Review deliverables produced by external advisory vendors for compliance and precision.

Support mandatory tax filings and statutory audit activities.

Serve as the primary internal contact for professional service firms.

Process Improvement & Systems Architecture

Audit ongoing financial procedures to address structural gaps and drive efficiencies.

Institute updated controls, governance policies, and standardized reporting mechanisms.

Participate in software evaluations, system enhancements, and planned ERP implementations.

Construct scalable accounting frameworks aligned with long-term commercial goals.

Planning & Commercial Support

Provide analytical support for budgeting and rolling financial forecasts.

Assist executive leadership with variance reviews and financial modeling.

Supply operational insights into commercial performance and cost optimization.

Contribute to cross-functional operational projects as corporate operations scale.
