■ The Opportunity
This senior role leads internal and external financial reporting under both Japanese GAAP and US GAAP, while ensuring strict adherence to domestic tax regulations. Serving as a key financial subject matter expert, the successful candidate will advise executive leaders, direct strategic cross-functional initiatives, and foster team development.

■ Key Responsibilities
・ Oversee accurate and timely quarterly/annual statutory disclosures and internal management reporting in accordance with J-GAAP and US GAAP.
・ Direct discussions on complex, highly judgmental accounting issues and serve as the lead interface for external audit partners.
・ Coordinate closely with global corporate counterparts to resolve international accounting topics and harmonize financial practices.
・ Lead cross-functional corporate projects as a project manager, including system implementations, regulatory accounting changes, and process redesigns (BPR/BPO).
・ Provide high-level financial analysis and strategic advisory to the CFO and executive management to guide business decision-making.
・ Review corporate tax filings, deliver internal tax advice, and maintain collaborative relationships with tax authorities and advisory partners.
・ Partner with internal finance units—including FP&A and operational controllers—to drive financial governance across corporate and field channels.
・ Coach, mentor, and manage team members to maximize potential, build leadership capability, and support long-term career growth.

経験・スキル

■ Required Experience and Skills
・ Certified Public Accountant (JPA) qualification (US CPA will be considered if supported by strong statutory reporting and audit experience in listed companies).
・ Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year university.
・ Proven track record of managing complex, cross-departmental or enterprise-wide projects.
・ High-level Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 or native equivalent) suitable for executive discussions, legal compliance, and technical negotiations.
・ Superior interpersonal and alignment skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
・ Strong leadership and people management skills focused on talent development and coaching.
・ Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn the business operational framework.

■ Preferred Qualifications
・ 5 to 10 years of audit or financial advisory experience within a Big 4 accounting firm.
・ Business-level English proficiency (written and spoken) for corporate reporting and global stakeholder communication.
