■Company Overview
Our client is a major global technology services and consulting organization providing enterprise cloud solutions, digital infrastructure, and managed IT services to multinational clients. The enterprise operates through a collaborative, agile global network, delivering high-value digital transformation projects and custom service agreements. The Japan entity represents a strategic operational hub driving significant expansion across commercial and enterprise accounts.

■The Opportunity
Serving as the strategic financial partner to the Japan Managing Director and reporting directly to the regional APAC Finance Executive, the Japan CFO holds comprehensive financial accountability for the local business entity. This executive mandate balances strategic growth with financial discipline, ensuring optimal margin performance, robust governance, and agile commercial deal execution. The incoming leader will steer a local finance team, drive organizational transformation, and advise business leaders across complex, high-volume IT delivery projects.

■Key Responsibilities
・Act as the primary financial advisor and strategic partner to the Japan General Manager and senior regional leadership.

・Lead, mentor, and build capability within the local finance team across budgeting, FP&A, accounting, and commercial analysis.

・Review and approve commercial constructs, contract terms, pricing models, and revenue recognition structures to maximize profitability and cash generation.

・Drive continuous operational improvements in working capital, free cash flow, and key balance sheet metrics, including DSO and DPO.

・Partner closely with delivery and supply chain executives to align operating costs with shifting revenue trends.

・Formulate and execute risk mitigation strategies for complex accounts or underperforming contracts to safeguard financial returns.

・Ensure a rigorous internal controls environment, maintaining statutory compliance, tax adherence, and governance in coordination with global shared services.

・Lead regional finance transformation initiatives, including software integrations, process optimization, and operating model updates.

経験・スキル

■Required Experience and Skills
・At least 15 years of progressive finance, accounting, or commercial management experience, including 10+ years in executive leadership roles.
・Proven background operating within a large, matrixed global corporate structure.
・Deep expertise within the IT services, technology consulting, or enterprise software sectors.
・Strong track record in commercial deal negotiations, complex contract structures, FP&A, and revenue recognition.
・Demonstrated experience managing working capital optimization, contract risk mitigation, and margin enhancement.
・Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.

■Preferred Qualifications
・Proven experience leading large-scale finance process, systems, or organizational transformations.
・Advanced professional finance credential (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) or MBA.
