Provide legal support for all financing matters relating to Japan originated by Coverage, Investment Banking, Trade, Real Assets, Portfolio and Strategic Sectors teams, which would include acquisition finance, asset finance, commodities finance, project finance, trade finance, margin financings, fund financings, corporate banking, secondary loan trading and M&A advisory transactions
Prepare/review, negotiate and approve the relevant documentation on financing matters
Manage, monitor, identify and advise on legal and regulatory risks in Japan in support of the financing business, including advice on managing or mitigating such legal risks
Monitor, identify and advise on changes in banking and finance laws in Japan
Instruct and supervise external counsel, including managing costs of external counsel
Develop and update templates of commonly used agreements / documents
Work closely with senior country management in Japan, with the Asia Pacific & Middle East Banking Legal team and with all other stakeholders within Asia Pacific & Middle East and Paris, to advance the strategic goals of the Japan banking business
Assist Head of Legal, Japan and Co-Chief Legal Officers, Asia Pacific & Middle East on management of projects and various other legal, regulatory and governance matters in connection with Natixis Tokyo Branch and any other relevant entities

こんな方を求めています

経験・スキル

Qualification as a lawyer in Japan but other jurisdictions will be considered
At least 6 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house banking and finance lawyer or in private practice with a leading Japanese or international law firm (or a combination of both)
Strong familiarity with Japanese laws, market practice and regulatory framework especially in cross-border financing space
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent Japanese and business English
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a team player
Proactive and motivated with an ability to work independently
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Resilient and able to prioritise and work under pressure
