As the Head of Finance, you will own the financial narrative of foreign consumer brand, ensuring that every yen spent is optimized for sustainable growth.

• Lead Strategic FP&A: Architect and own our budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the Japan market. You will build dynamic, multi-year financial models to support scenario planning and capital allocation.
• Optimize B2C Unit Economics: Dive deep into the metrics that matter. Partner with the local Marketing and Product teams to rigorously track, analyze, and improve Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), churn rates, and gross margins specific to Japanese consumer behavior.
• Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Act as the ultimate strategic partner to department heads. Help the CMO model the ROI of local brand campaigns, forecast inventory needs with Supply Chain, and align Japan-specific strategies with global financial targets.
• Bridge Local and Global: Serve as the financial liaison between the Japan office and global headquarters, translating local market nuances into clear financial impacts.
• Oversee Core Finance & Compliance: Manage relationships with external Japanese tax advisors and auditors. Ensure timely month-end closes, accurate financial reporting and strict cash flow management.
• Build a High-Performing Team: Hire, develop, and lead a lean but strong local finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

経験・スキル

• Experience: Progressive finance leadership experience, with focus on FP&A and Business Partnering leadership role.
• B2C DNA: Experience in a B2C, e-commerce, or consumer goods environment. You instinctively understand consumer unit economics and revenue modeling.
• Bilingual Communicator: Native/Fluent Japanese and Business level English. You possess the rare ability to translate dense financial data into clear, compelling narratives for both local non-finance stakeholders and global board members.
• Analytical Mastermind: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis. You can build complex, flexible models that accurately simulate business outcomes.
• Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Japanese corporate tax basics, J-GAAP, and local payment ecosystems and how they impact margins.
• Systems Savvy: Experience with modern finance stacks and data visualization tools.
