The largest global food trading/manufacturing company is seeking an experienced finance leader to join its Tokyo office in a senior management capacity. This role will lead the overall finance function and act as a strategic partner to local and regional leadership teams across business planning, financial governance, and operational performance.

The position reports to regional leadership in APAC and oversees a small finance team, while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
・Lead financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
・Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making and long-term growth
・Partner closely with country leadership and department heads across operations and commercial functions
・Ensure compliance with local statutory and corporate reporting requirements
・Drive process optimization, governance enhancement, and internal control improvements
・Support performance analysis, scenario planning, and business profitability initiatives
・Manage relationships with external advisors including auditors and tax consultants
・Contribute to regional and global finance initiatives and transformation projects
・Lead and mentor finance team members while supporting organizational development

経験・スキル

・Extensive experience in finance and accounting management within multinational organizations
・Approximately 15+ years of relevant experience in senior finance roles, ideally within manufacturing, food-related, trading, or commodity-based industries
・Experience working in a matrix organization with collaboration across local and regional/global stakeholders
・Strong understanding of finance operations within international commercial or supply chain-driven businesses
・Hands-on experience in forecasting, financial analysis, business planning, and risk assessment
・Knowledge of both local and international accounting standards and experience supporting global reporting requirements
・Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements, process enhancement, and organizational change initiatives
・Experience supporting business transformation, integration, or finance optimization projects
・Proven leadership capability with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
・Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional and multicultural environments
