Your research and recommendations will directly shape portfolio decisions for Japan equities, working closely with senior portfolio managers who practice a disciplined, value-oriented and contrarian approach. For an analyst who wants their conviction to translate into positions — rather than disappear into a report — this is the platform to do it.

■Role Overview
Evaluate, research, and recommend high-conviction Japan equity investment ideas to portfolio managers, applying a value-oriented and contrarian investment lens.

■Main tasks include:
・Generate and pitch high-conviction Japan equity ideas
・Build detailed earnings and valuation models
・Present recommendations directly to portfolio managers
・Conduct deep fundamental analysis of filings and industry data
・Integrate ESG considerations and comparative analysis
・Attend conferences, management meetings, and company visits

経験・スキル

■Requirements

[Mandatory]
・3+ years of equity research experience
・Fluent Japanese and business-level English
・Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
・Alignment with a value or contrarian investment philosophy

[Preferred]
・5–10 years of research experience
・Buy-side equity research experience
・Sell-side background with a value focus
