In this leadership position, you will oversee the integrity of the accounting function and drive operational excellence:

• Financial Stewardship: Lead the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all activities are accurate, timely, and compliant global accounting standards.

• Compliance & Governance: Manage tax filings and statutory reporting while serving as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors.

• Operational Leadership: Manage and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

• Strategic Optimization: Drive initiatives to enhance internal controls, automate reconciliation processes, and improve data reliability across ERP systems.

• Business Partnership: Collaborate with regional APAC stakeholders
and local leadership to ensure accounting outputs accurately reflect business performance and commercial activity.

【Qualifications & Experience】

The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with a proactive, hands-on leadership style:

• Professional Background: 6-10 or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within an international, multi-entity environment or the retail/consumer goods sector.

• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of international accounting standards, along with practical experience in tax and statutory compliance.

• Systems & Tools: Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis.

• Language Skills: Native-level fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English.

• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, a high sense of accountability, and the ability to combine strategic thinking with execution.
