Job Title: Internal IT Support Engineer

Reports To: Japan Chief Operations Officer

Position Summary:
Our organization is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in technology to become part of our internal IT support structure. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational stability and effectiveness of our company's technology environment and resources used by our employees.

Core Duties:

* Prepare and deploy computer hardware (PCs) and associated peripherals required for employee workstations.
* Serve as a helpful resource for internal staff facing technical challenges, providing troubleshooting for computer issues and guidance on using various software tools.
* Contribute to the administration and user support for our Microsoft 365 environment, encompassing tools like Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and device management via Intune.
* Oversee the tracking and documentation of IT hardware assets and manage software license records.
* Participate in identifying potential enhancements to business processes through the application of digital technologies.
* Engage with external technology vendors and support partners concerning system enhancements and routine upkeep schedules.
* Assist with overseeing the data exchange processes operating between the company's internal applications and external platforms.

Candidate Profile: Essential Attributes

* Possesses a foundational understanding of Windows operating systems and proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications.
* Shows genuine enthusiasm for providing IT support and working with digital technologies.
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous learning and actively developing technical capabilities.
* Communicates effectively, with an aptitude for explaining technical concepts logically and in a user-accessible manner. This position requires business level English and Business Level Japanese


Candidate Profile: Beneficial Skills & Experience

* Prior hands-on involvement in using or managing components of the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
* Holding certifications such as IT Passport, CompTIA ITF+, or the Fundamental
Information Technology Engineer (FE) qualification.
* A basic grasp of computer networking concepts or principles of IT security.
* Exposure to cloud services like Microsoft Azure or familiarity with Intune.
* Knowledge of data integration tools, particularly ETL solutions would be advantageous.
