A globally renowned luxury company is seeking for an experienced General Ledger Accounting Manager to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our financial records. This critical role will manage key aspects of general ledger accounting, with a particular focus on inventory control, general accounting, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in financial management, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Inventory Management (Daily & Month-End Closing):
- Oversee inventory movement and balances across various locations, including stores, warehouses, and head offices.
- Reconcile inventory balances across multiple systems and collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy.
- Review journal entries related to inventory and prepare necessary accounting estimates.
- Prepare inventory-related documentation for audits and assist in explaining these to auditors.
- Develop insightful inventory analysis reports and contribute to enhancing internal controls.
- Participate in special projects related to inventory management.
2) General Accounting (Daily, Month-End Closing & Reporting):
- Review journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial data.
- Monitor fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other account movements.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and financial reports, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Manage balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide support for the team across other accounting processes and assist with special projects as required.
Key Accountabilities:
- General Ledger & Financial Reporting (80%): Ensure journal entries, reconciliations, monthly reporting, and compliance with audit and tax requirements.
- Boutique Support (10%): Assist with financial operations and support for store openings and related tasks.
- Administrative & Process Improvements (10%): Contribute to administrative tasks and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

- Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements
-Minimum 5 years of experience in finance.
-Certified Professional Accountant or Certified Tax Accountant preferred.
-Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
-Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet the deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
