Reporting to: Managing Director in Japan
Job Subordinate: 1 staff FTE, 1 Vendor


Mission:
Ensure ERP and Retail systems effectiveness and efficiency in operation. Set the team objectives/goals in line with Japan and global goals, and solve issues by managing, supporting, and motivating team members. Involve key people not only from Japan but also from HQ and Group teams and create a collaborative working environment. Look out for continuous improvement opportunities and innovative changes.


Scope of the responsibilities:

1. Manage IT team& planning
2. Responsible for security & IT continuity
3. Provide support and tools to end-user
4. Manage & coordinate IT related projects
5. Manage IT infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage IT team& planning
• Take initiative in team development to optimize team’s tasks and reach the ambitious growth objectives of the company
• Communicate with HQ (hereinafter referred to HQ) CIO and IT teams to update of IT architecture/projects and receive a review from them
• Manage external relationship with services providers with respect to cost performance, operating effectiveness, and quality standards.
• Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Proactively consult users to ascertain needs and ensure that systems meet user or project requirements.
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expense; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.

2. Responsible for security & IT continuity
• Ensure compliance with Group IT security policies, internal control procedures and internal control best practices.
• Preserves IT assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors for all IT related action plans.


3. Provide support and tools to end-user
• Responsible for the operational effectiveness of ERP/Retail systems and the interfaces with third parties, including security and compliance with Group policies.
• Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies in lines with the business needs.
• Design user training to optimize the use of applications, provide user with training, advice and feed-back.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

4. Manage & coordinate IT related projects
• Coordinate, manage, coach, consult and /or lead various systems related initiatives and projects in line with Group and HQ strategy and local business requirement
• Liaise with the counterparts in HQ and Japan
• Manage external supplier relationship with respect to cost, effectiveness and quality
• Design and provide user training to optimize the application usage, utilize advice and feed-back to keep update of the training program

5. Manage IT infrastructure
• Responsible for the operational effectiveness of all the IT hardware used by the company, including security policies and compliance with Group.
• Manage office and retail infrastructure environments to ensure effective operation and improvement and improvement

• Adaptability and ability to work under pressure and with ambiguity
• Native level Japanese and business level English skills (Written and Spoken)
