*English Only* Fully Remote Backend Engineer (Java)

Job Overview
We're seeking backend engineers to develop and enhance services focusing on scalability and maintenance. Our mission involves two main goals: improving the credit card experience with new features and integrating seamlessly into a larger ecosystem, and upgrading our technical infrastructure to provide an excellent user experience through solving complex design challenges.

Responsibilities

Design and lead development of complex systems.
Collaborate with various team members, including non-technical stakeholders.
Utilize infrastructure to solve significant challenges.
Maintain high-quality standards and resolve product issues.
Mentor team members.
Tech Stack

Back-end: Primarily Spring Boot (Java 11/Spring Boot 2 and Java 17/Spring Boot 3), some Java EE, JUnit, Mockito for testing, AWS ECS for deployment, and AWS CodePipeline for CI/CD.
Infrastructure: AWS-based, managed with AWS CloudFormation and monitored with AWS CloudWatch.
Tools: GitHub, IntelliJ, Gradle, Confluence, Miro, JIRA, Slack, Zoom, Office 365.
Note: We're in the process of revisiting our tech stack, which might lead to updates in our technology choices.

経験・スキル

Required Qualifications
Excellent skills in Java and Spring Boot
Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, along with distributed cache.
Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and object oriented programming.
In-depth understanding of concurrency and distributed computing.
Experience implementing platform components such as RESTful APIs, Pub/Sub Systems, and Database Clients.
Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
Experience designing high traffic systems.
Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent experience in SaaS platform development.
English business proficiency

Preferred Qualifications
Java EE understanding
Domain-driven development knowledge
Experience in a multicultural environment
Stakeholder management is welcomed
Japanese conversational proficiency is a plus
