Overview:
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced bilingual Python Developer to join their team in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python programming and a keen interest in working with legacy systems. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the optimization and modernization of their existing infrastructure, particularly within the realm of Microsoft Access databases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Python scripts and applications to support legacy systems.
- Conduct thorough analysis and refactoring of existing codebase to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design and implement data migration strategies from Microsoft Access databases to modern platforms.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues within legacy systems, providing timely resolutions and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Document codebase, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure compliance with internal standards.
