SUMMARY of the ROLE
- We are seeking a Lead Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of business projects utilizing Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies. The role involves building stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with internal standards, managing budgets, and contributing to continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cross-functional teams using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies, making decisions on priorities, scope, budget, resources, and risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with IT and business stakeholders, manage dependencies within program streams, and oversee complex project interdependencies.
- Manage Project Managers/Senior Project Managers, provide support, and host regular project meetings to monitor progress.
- Proactively recognize warning signs, raise risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and communicate frequently with the team.
- Take ownership of project budget, scope, timeline, and manage baseline change control.
- Prepare weekly project status reports for the assigned value stream, updating the management team and seeking assistance when required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Over 10 years managing end-to-end business projects, including leadership in strategy, implementation, and delegation. Insurance industry experience and proficiency in Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills. Strong planning and organizational skills with proficiency in project management tools. Bilingual in English and Japanese.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field. Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2) strongly preferred. Understanding of Agile & DevOps practices.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes or unforeseen circumstances. Proactive self-manager, confident, and results-driven.
