Job Title: Legal Counsel - Consumer/Automotive Company
Location: Tokyo, Japan

Company Overview:
A Tokyo-based consumer and automotive company, renowned for innovation and quality, seeks a Legal Counsel to join our esteemed legal team. Embrace the opportunity to contribute to our industry leadership by providing legal expertise to our dynamic business units.

Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management:
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including sales, distribution, licensing, and supplier contracts.

2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with consumer and automotive industry regulations, staying updated on relevant legal developments.

3. Intellectual Property:
- Manage intellectual property matters, collaborating with the IP team to protect and enforce rights.

4. Litigation Support:
- Assist in legal disputes, working with external counsel and managing proceedings effectively.

5. Corporate Governance:
- Support corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

6. Training and Education:
- Conduct legal training sessions to enhance internal legal awareness and compliance.

Qualifications:

- Bar license from any jurisdiction.
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience with a focus on commercial and corporate law.
- Industry experience in consumer or automotive sectors preferred.
- Native Japanese speaker with fluency in English.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
