【Position Description】

As an Information Security and Personal Information Protection Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to promote compliance with relevant laws and internal regulations regarding information security and personal data protection. You will monitor the operations of related departments, ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken, and act as a key liaison between Japan's manager and the APAC & Group Information Security and Data Protection teams.

【Job Responsibilities】

- Develop and update various regulations related to information security, incorporating the latest legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with personal data protection laws, information security policies, and operational practices across departments, driving the adoption of appropriate measures.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to conduct information security assessments during supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to security standards and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for information security risks, including insurance contracts and other risk hedging measures.
- Report compliance violation risks to relevant internal departments, ensuring timely and appropriate communication.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and external vendors to align on security practices and standards, including access control, data classification, backup procedures, and encryption.
- Conduct audits during the design and testing phases of system development projects, ensuring compliance with personal data protection and security requirements.
- Lead the response to incidents related to personal information and security, including reporting to relevant departments, guiding recovery efforts, and implementing preventive measures in line with company policies.
- Establish processes for handling personal information disclosure, deletion, and claims, in accordance with legal requirements, while providing guidance on best practices for proper operation.
- Act as the representative of the company in matters related to information security and personal information protection.
- Collaborate closely with the APAC & Group Information Security and Data Protection teams, driving the updating of regulations, conducting training sessions, and facilitating audits.
- Provide training to enhance awareness of information security and data protection throughout the organization, while disseminating relevant news and information.

経験・スキル

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 3 years focused on information security.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Experience in the retail industry or other business sectors, understanding the specific business landscape and challenges.
- Strong knowledge of information security, including familiarity with the Information Security Administrator Examination or equivalent certification such as Information Processing Security Assurance Supporter.
- In-depth understanding of personal data protection laws and regulations, as well as the utilization of information systems in compliance with these requirements.
- Proficient in risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and external partners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to comprehend IT systems and the role they play in achieving business objectives.
- Adaptive and flexible, capable of adjusting information system requirements and task priorities in response to changing environments.
- Strong leadership skills, particularly in problem-solving and driving actions to resolve system-related issues
