• Being part of the APAC Finance Management team and contributing to the success of the APAC Finance Control team by participating in the strategic initiatives as well as supporting teams across different locations.

• Manage and direct the financial control group for the Tokyo office, ensuring that adequate controls are in place and that all financial reporting, internal, statutory and regulatory, is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Provide technical accounting advice and financial reporting systems knowledge to business leaders to assist in decision making on new business initiatives and enhancements to current processes.

• Manage the delivery of accurate financial reporting including daily revenue analysis, control of non-interest expenditure and external regulatory reporting and monitoring.

• Liaison with regulators concerning balance sheet, P&L and business changes affecting the regulatory returns.

• Liaison with external auditors on accounting issues and audit planning / execution.

• Ensure financial controls (e.g. review of suspense accounts, review of incentive compensation accounts, aged items, reconciliation, application of policy etc.) are applied in a manner that provides accurate financial information.

• Direct and supervise a finance staff within the Tokyo office, providing managerial and technical support as appropriate. Provide an environment for the development and growth of the individual staff members, ensuring regular feedback on performance and opportunities for training.

• Maintain financial reporting systems in a manner which aids automation and accuracy and provides timely information to the business leaders.

• Critically review expense reports and reject/ escalate non-compliance items.

• Review and support business developments (e.g. new products, systems etc.) ensuring financial reporting standards are met or enhanced and delivered in a timely manner.

経験・スキル

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position

• Good communication skills in English and Japanese

• Regulatory reporting experience for the local entities, to ensure that the requirements are understood and delivered, particularly in relation to the filing of returns and the monitoring of limits to Kanto Financial Bureau (KFB) and Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA)
