• Manage the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidated accounting functions and processes
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports for the CEO, CFO, Senior Management Team, and the Board of Directors
• Monitor and maintain adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, and review for efficiency and effectiveness and modify as necessary
• Build necessary structures to cultivate and maintain relationships with the bank, investment managers and external, vendors
• Collaborate with the CFO and Finance leadership team, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong working relationships
• Ensure compliance with the cost allocation policies, and that transactions are recorded in compliance with uniform guidance code according to Japanese guidelines
• Coordinate and manage projects and initiatives of the consolidated accounting team to ensure alignment with organizational and programmatic goals
• Support members of the General Accounting team in understanding audit requirements, and in the preparation of various audit schedules
• Collaborate with other divisions within the finance team on budget related matters
• Lead and review timely preparation of audit schedules including the annual financial statement audit
• Work across all teams to build processes that support all the programs and ensure compliance with the various funding granting agencies
• Lead the administration and periodic review of accounting financial software systems and tools; maintain the integrity of accounting tools and manage user access; troubleshoot issues with accounting systems. Increase productivity by automating processes
• Provide orientation and training on relevant financial systems for staff at all levels

経験・スキル

• 10+ years of experience in accounting combined with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements, successful meeting deadlines
• A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationships
• Strong leadership, development and influence skills with demonstrated business partnering approach
• Fluency in Japanese and advanced level English
