PROFILE
I am a British national and came to Japan in 2006 on the Japanese government JET Programme. After nearly two years living and working in Okayama Prefecture, I joined the British Council and worked there for approximately nine years, specializing in the Education and Corporate Training sectors. During that time I completed successive courses with the University of Cambridge and Nottingham University, which complimented my increasingly diverse professional competencies. I was fortunate enough to be posted to Tokyo twice, Seoul and Singapore, which gave me an excellent understanding of British Government 'soft' diplomacy operations across the APAC region.
I left the British Council in 2014 and started working as an Executive Recruiter in the Pharmaceutical industry in Japan and across the wider APAC region. The first year and a half saw me focusing on commercial areas such as sales, marketing and business development before I turned to developing a broader awareness across the full spectrum of research & discovery, commercial sales, marketing & business development, clinical development, regulatory affairs, as well as back office functions.
